OUR TEAM
Alan Miller, Master Barber
Born and raised in southern Delaware, Alan began cutting hair as a 14-year-old and continued through his college years. He spent almost 32 years as a teacher, moving to central PA in 1991, barbering part-time while teaching. After leaving the educational world, he founded Miller’s Barbershop in 2018 and now is barbering full time.
Alan pays special attention to the newest trends, including from social media, while working at adapting and creating his own unique style of cut. He loves doing all fades, including skin/bald fades and works hard at personalizing each cut. He is especially skilled at middle, high-school, and post-high-school age cuts and loves making these young men look outstanding. He is also skilled at cutting curly natural hair and has a place in his heart for longer styles as well.

Josiah Yearick, Barber
A Mifflin County local, Josiah grew up in Burnham, Pennsylvania. While attending Mifflin County High School, he became interested in barbering and started cutting some of his friends’ hair. After graduating high school, class of 2021, he started his professional barber career in April of ‘22, graduating from barber school in March of ‘23. He started working at Miller’s Barbershop in October of the same year.
Now 21, Josiah is known for his steady and gentle touch. He gives close attention to all his cuts and is always ready for a challenge and does his best to make his clients look sharp.
